Is the receipt check really free?+
Yes. Anyone can check receipts here without an account, a few each minute. Businesses that check many receipts a day use the app.
Do you keep the receipts I check here?+
No. We pass the reference to the bank, show you its answer, and keep nothing.
What does reconciliation do?+
Two things: when collectors sync, their totals are matched with yours; and each bank collection is matched with the bank SMS on the owner's phone, so you see what's missing and money that came in but wasn't recorded.
Which banks work?+
CBE (with the QR code or receipt link), telebirr, Dashen Bank and Bank of Abyssinia. Awash Bank receipts can be checked in the app.
Is KaznaBirr a bank or a wallet?+
No. KaznaBirr never holds or moves money. It records the payments you receive and checks them with the banks.
